Spline vertex type produces errors
« on: June 23, 2011, 10:12:27 PM »
I have an odd problem with a parking lot spline. There are areas of the spline where RC will not produce rail objects. After doing some troubleshooting I found that the problem is the vertex type at the apex of the curves. They are bezier. If I change the vertex type to corner or bezier corner the problem goes away. I thought the spline might be corrupted in some way, so I recreated it from scratch and RC still has the problem with the new spline. Any suggestions on why this is happening or how to avoid it in the future?

I should note that I'm using a standard ChamferBox for the curb object. I tried a RC curb from the library and it produced the same error.

This is a problem with the Bevels, it is not working well with this combination of vertices.

We are checking it, please hold on. Meanwhile, change all vertices to Bezier Corner, that seems to fix the problem.

We already have found the problem and modified the Bevel algorithm to fix it. Now we are testing the changes, in order to release a patch in the next days.
