This question is both for FP and RC.
We have been using both these products in production for a while now in our office. Occasionally, when significant updates are announced, we are told that FP or RC geometry created by previous versions may change in the newer build because of different calculations within the plugins. This has the potential to cause significant problems for older projects that have been completed and archived, but which are brought back online again when updates are required, or if further images/animation is required.
Would it be possible to ensure that the version of RC/FP used in a particular MAX file could somehow be 'stored' within the file, so that when the MAX file is launched, we are prompted that the currently installed version will create geometrical differences, and even given the option to use a previously installed version of FP/RC with that file?
