Title: Backward compatibility
Post by: RealViz on December 17, 2024, 08:39:54 am
I have one question. Do you have any idea if RC7 is backwards compatible with RC6? I understand that there will be minor deviations. Or are there things that you already know have to be handled differently?
I'll definitely test it, it's more about the principle, whether to watch out for some operator that just changed etc.
Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for offering to test RailClone 7. We can't promise backwards compatibility between major releases because there are many changes that can affect the way that graphs build and obviously using any of the new nodes or other features will not translate to older versions. That said, if you avoid the new features, style will likely be OK in an older version (but we can't guarantee it).

Sorry I can't be more definite about it.
