ER: Macro Inputs On/Off
« on: August 02, 2019, 10:48:49 PM »
Hi,
we often use symmetric models so we need fewer input segments because we use mirror operators to fill up the generator.
It will be nice to have the option to turn On/Off Input Node and Export Parameter.
Inputs that are turned of should not appear in the Macros Input list.
That way we could cut off the input list by one Numeric (Boolean) Parameter and hide unwanted Input Nodes.
Hope that makes any sense.

Best Regards

Hi, do you mean to turn it On/Off dinamically, according a numeric parameter (0/1) ?
i'm afraid it would be very difficult to implement such feature. With the current implementation, macros cannot modify its structure programatically.

e.g. I`m working on a window frame as Macro Generator.
Macro will do some operation as subevenly X/Y, Open/Close etc.

Initially, I will place a whole range of INPUTS for segments (Start/End/Top/Bottom,Corners..)
But, in the Macro I will also arrange a conditional input tree to use Mirrored segments and control it with Numeric Boolean node 0/1.
So, when I use Mirrored segments I do not have a need for extra Inputs so I would like to hide those from the input list just to make Macro Window more visual efficient. I have been thinking that by controlling On/Off states of Inputs I could control visibility in Macro WIndow.
So nothing dynamically, just visual.
