Macro ID to Selector
« on: November 07, 2021, 09:12:23 PM »
Another specific request!
Since users can create a Macro and Copy/Paste for multiple uses I have tested some and come up with this specific need.

How about, besides naming a Macro, introducing a MacroID field.
This value should have only one specific role to carry an Index Value for Selector Operator. (at least for now ;D)

It is difficult for me to explain with words at this point (having fever and possible Covid  ???  :-\ ) but, please check the attached image.

Also, at this point, I would ask about having one Macro`s Numeric Output next to the Segment Output at the same time.

I understand your idea, but it's a very specific way to solve the problem.

It would much better that Macros can have multiple outputs, numeric or other. In this way, a numeric output may be used as index selector, for whatever you need.
This feature is in our to-do list, but will require time and some changes in the core. A simpler alternative would be to allow exportable attributes for macros. We'll think on that...

Ouch ???. I hope you get well soon, and that it's not Covid !

I'm fine, false alarm. Thanks.

I'll take any improvement on Macro's output additional.

Also, Copy/Paste from root level to Macro  was a long time request.  ::)

Yes, it's in the to-do list already.
But on this release we focused more on RC features, instead the Style Editor. We'll work on that for next update.

I agree, this is not something that can`t be done with a simple workaround so it can wait.
