XEvenlyDistance as an Attribute
« on: March 26, 2023, 08:03:45 AM »
Since we already have EvenlyNumber as an attribute, can we also have EvenlyDistance as an attribute?
Now, when you support adaptive any/even/odd modes EvenlyDistance is changing accordingly. It would be very helpful if we could use those values, especially in nesting workflows.
But I suspect it would not be possible because of evaluation priority, right? Although, when nesting, everything becomes dynamic.

I'm not sure if understand correctly your question.

Evenly distance is already exported as X section attributes: XSectionLength, XSectionNextLength and XSectionAdjustedLength.
Theorically you can use these values in other generator, but it may return weird results. Because inner generator can include multiple spline sections, each one returning its own values.

Yeah, I was thinking about a different workflow but I realized I already had a macro created as soon as you introduced XSectionAdjustedLength to support my back-brain idea.  :D
