Thank you, Ill try these fixes. Its funny to try removing the option of scaling to fit sloped areas but I will try that also. I admit I was kind of sloppy on the geometry but its hard to see time to go into the minutia of the underlying geometry to make the plugin work more efficiently but that might be the ultimate fix. I like the option of using another preset of smaller patches also. Ty.

Hello,
Has the problem been resolved? Or only solution is still to make the surface larger than the clipping area?

Best regards

Hi,

Exactly, changing the Render Mode of the Forest object that is used as the reference for the other one from Automatic to Meshes (under the Display rollout) should resolve the issue.

i guess i found out myself... when finding a answer to using rail-clone and "instancing off" ...

So i set the FP_Planter object render mode to mesh not automatic. that worked then.

I've trouble to understand why its not working - rendering.

One ForrestPack Object is distributing Planters - which each has randomly placed Mesh-faces with ID10 as a "reference" for distributing vegetations.

The other Forrestpack Object is having various Plant Models as geometry and are distributed by "Reference" Mode  - using "Mesh Faces" - items by Face 1 and because the other forrestobject reordered the various materials... ID 10 became ID 8 ... so its ID 8.

I do see the Plants have been correctly distributed with point-clouds... its also not too much geometry produced. i increased max items and max faces...

But it doesnt show when rendering.

It does show if i convert the Forrest-Objects with all the vegetations into a mesh and collaps it down to a mesh. then its rendering as it should be .

Any Idea why it doesn't work as i thought it should?

Hi Dustin,

Please try disabling the Surfaces > Scale to fit sloped area option as a quick fix to see if it helps. However, for better control in this region, it may be necessary to use smaller distribution patches or a detailed preset. You can create an additional Forest object specifically for this problematic area and combine it with the larger Forest object by using a Forest Exclude Area. I hope this helps.

Hi Luke,

If you enter the Cladding macro by double-clicking it or by right-clicking and selecting Macro > Edit, you can change the Clipping Area > Auto Align mode to Spline. To control the alignment, use the Make First vertex command and optionally the Reverse function to adjust the alignment as needed. I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Thanks Michal, I'll give that a go! 👍

Thanks for the revised version.
But I like to understand: why it works on the left side and why we have to increase the value on the right side.
The pivot is in the center of the object.
And why is there no problem with the outgoing angles object? Only a problem on the incoming angle.
I've tried the outgoing angle object in pivot mode, and it works fine.
Please explain.
Thank you very much.

I think its due to the geometry underneath but Im not sure how to correct it. Im surprised that FP is affected by the size of the polygons used on the surface or a quick change to a slope? You would assume that FP has the ability to scale the grass clumps in order to traverse sharp elevation changes? Whats most surprising is FP's answer to this by adding one huge grass cluster over the top of a mound and hoping for the best...lol..It basically scaled the one cluster to patch the surface where it cant figure out what to do. I guess Ill have to get in there and even out the polygon spread but still surprised this is still an issue.
