My decorative hanging tiles stop a full tile short of the end.  How would I make them run to the corner, please?

I understand the situation.
I'll try and see if maybe I can fix the script for this version and then I'll share it here. (but I don't know how you guys export it from 3ds max so I'm not sure whether I'll be able to do it).

A suggestion: maybe you should remove the Unity exporter from the documentation or add a explicit warning that there will not be any updates after unity 2019. Since the main reason I bought this asset was for the unity export and there will probably be more people in the future with the same idea.

Hi Dries,

Unfortunately, at the moment, we do not have plans to further enhance the exporter to Unity. The Unity programmer who was responsible for this aspect is no longer part of Itoo, and the evolving nature of Unity versions necessitates ongoing updates that we are unable to provide at this time.

However, you can still utilize Forest Tools to convert to instances and proceed with exporting by using the options within 3ds Max. We appreciate your understanding.

Hi,
I downloaded ForestToUnityScript101. I get some errors when importing it in Unity 2022.3.13.
errors: IndexOutOfRange on the ParseMatrix function in the forestPackImporter script.
I'm currently trying to fix the script myself but it goes slowly.

Is there support planned for future versions of Unity? And how should I continue? Should I export the forest manually from 3ds max for now?

That's definitely an option - when the "Non-Geometric Object" option is enabled, Forest creates instances as hidden nodes in the scene before rendering, and deletes them once rendering is completed (it's like an automatic Forest Tools, creating and deleting nodes in the scene before and after rendering). As mentioned previously, we will explore potential solutions in future versions. At the moment, in the case of the Arnold renderer, Forest items are converted to a mesh because the Arnold/3ds Max interface for Arnold doesn't support instancing scene nodes directly.

Please, take a look to RC 6.1.7.
We have rewritten completely the banking algorithm. Now it should work much better to solve problems like this.

A new update of the software is available:

RailClone 6.1.7

- RC Spline->Banking is fully rewritten using a new algorithm, to avoid abrupt rotation changes on vertical paths.
   * Banking on existing scenes may change significatively. You may need to adjust or add banking points again, to get a correct result.
   * If you get abrupt rotation changes even with this update, just add additional banking points near of the problematic position.
      That is the same procedure used before for this issue, but it was not working well. Now you should get better results.
- Several improvements to the process of loading and resizing thumbnails in the Library Browser.
- Generator->'Flatten Stepped' is disabled by default.
- Fixed rare crash in Style Editor/Library Browser because a bug in RC 6.1.6.
- Fixed: 'RailClone Library' toolbar action is displayed as 'RailClone Lister'.
- Library updates (you need to run Update Manager while the installation to get them):
   * Escalators. Fixed an issue where they were stuck in walkway mode. Now they default to stairs mode with the option to switch to walkway restored.
   * Floors. Fixed several floor styles that had issues in recent versions of RailClone.
   * Fixes and improvements to macros.

I found that if you turn on "Non-geometry object" in Geometry, Displace works. However, I haven't done further testing and I don't know if this will have a big effect on performance.
Michal Karmazín: Is it possible to use it this way, or is it completely wrong? :-)

That's not very good, we have hundreds of assets we want to scatter on a ground and you're suggesting the only solution is to manually add displacement ? Or if we convert them ito instance, will they have automatically the arnold property added ?

It seems Itoo really doesn't care much about arnold, which is one of the top renderers that is available for max ?
However, this is not a limitation only for arnold, but for all other renders as well.
