Hi,

Are these "sub-splines" already handled within a single Editable Spline object, or are you attaching them using the Spline Basic Operator in the Combine mode? If possible, would you mind sending us a simple scene where the mentioned behavior can be reproduced? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

In recent versions, these inputs in the A2S Generator have been renamed to Start and End to match the L1S Generator. If you encounter any issues with it, please feel free to send us your scene — we’ll be happy to take a look.

Very new to RailCLone. Trying to figure out how to tile a square roof segment. I am using two tile models . Full size tile and tile x 1.5. I added an array but it is different to the one in the old tutorial. Am i getting this right. I create a spline( rectangle) in the shape of the roof section. Then Use that as a clipping mask connected to the array. Then create 2 segments ... one for each tile model. Connect the full tile to default on the array. Then create a sequence . In the old tutorial the array had Left and Right nodes. But this version doesnt have those nodes. What do I connect the sequence to on the array ?

Forest Pro (*) / Exporting Forest Ivy into Unreal Engine

Hi! I'm currently exploring and learning UE 5 and I've come across a problem with exporting Forest Ivy into Unreal, not that I've already tried the normal forest pack objects, Ivy doesn't seem to be recognized by Forest Tools as a Forest Object. I've tried turning it into mesh and exporting it into Unreal by using Datasmith but the textures does not properly translate into Unreal, giving the leaves just a color bitmap and no actual diffuse images/textures. It could be because Datasmith does not properly read Corona Bitmaps but I'm pretty sure I'm wrong. The mesh properly converts into Unreal and Nanite if converted into mesh in 3Ds Max but the leaves disappear when I directly Datasmith while the ForestIvy isn't a mesh even if the viewport mode is set to Mesh. What steps do I have to make to make the export work properly?

What I have not tried is the one where I use snapshots to create meshes for Forest Ivy and distributing them into a Forest Object spline then exporting with Forest Tools, I will try it now and hopefully it works. Thank you!

HI,

I have fixed it and its all thanks to your help. I really really appreciate you.

One more thing that im sure you would probably fix a lot faster than me and it may be just a button on this one..

I have offset X to align the rows properly with the ones above, however i get this empty bit on the ends and it doesent fill it in with another tile.

Is there a way to fix this?

Hi, you can extract the geometry from the library presets, using the 'Extract Model to Scene' button, as shown in the attached image.

Besides that, you can assign a new geometry clicking the button located below the name (it shows '<embedded>' for the library models).

I'm connecting the building's Z-offset value via the Array 2S Generator.

The Spline Offset Modifier works normally in all situations.

When using the Spline Offset Operator, the height becomes random.

This issue occurs when using multiple attached splines to generate buildings simultaneously; it works correctly with a single spline.

I'm wondering if I need to connect other additional operators to the Spline Offset Operator for the settings to work correctly.

I have tried replicating the same as you have done there on the image you shown me with the sequence, it works better, however for some reason it misses some lines near the bottom as seen on screen. Also, every time i add any more lines to this roof to add more sections it crashes my 3ds max.
