Easily/Cleanly Merging Libraries
« on: January 14, 2026, 05:58:47 pm »
When unzipping the multiple libraries there is an issue if you want to dump all libraries into a single location where the zipped "The3dGarden" folder inside the zips merge because some of the zips contain the same subfolder (like "Field Plants and Grasses" from the two field plant and grass collections. If you merge them into a single folder, it means that the second one will overwrite the info.json, index.html and other files. This means that you need to either not share the same root folder for a clean view in the Library Browser (see attached image where the two Bushes and Flowers are separated by two subfolders in The3dGarden); or you need to manually add multiple paths to the browser preferences.

It would be nice if the library was reformatted so that all the assets could be in a clean /The3dGarden/:

/The3dGarden
      /Bushes and Flowers
Assets from all Bushes and Flowers collections...
      /Field Plants and Grasses
Assets from all Field Plants and Grasses collections...
      etc

If merging zips isn't practical, the important aspect is being able to cleanly view the data in the browser with a single root The3dGarden folder in the view.

Thanks for considering. If this is already possible, could you explain the steps?
