Post here your questions and comments about the Create a drop kerb (http://www.itoosoft.com/railclone/tutorials/tutorial_drop_kerb.php) tutorial.

The Lite version limits the number of generators and segments, so this tutorial could not be completed without Pro version.

Thanks

I sorry by that. We just revised the requirements of all RailClone tutorials.
As you pointed, the Drop Kerb tutorial requires Pro version.

I followed the drop kerb tutorial and at the end when rendering the kerb it shows blank spaces where it looks like mapping wasn't applied.  The final scene also seems to look the same way when i tried that.

Thanks in advance.

This is a problem of V-Ray 3 with mirrored pieces. For some reason, normals are not rendered correctly.

I apologize by the inconveniences. We are in contact with ChaosGroup about this issue. As workaround, you can switch off Display->Render->Use Geometry Shader.

Please can you supply the missing files for this project ?

rc_asphalt.jpg & rc_noise.jpg.

Thank you.

Hi Jez,

Those files should be included in the standard RailClone installation. The default location is here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Itoo Software\RailClone Pro\maps, for convenience I've also attached them to this post.

Cheers,

Paul

I am having issues with curved lines. There are empty spaces at the Vertices where I enter a different material ID. The ID is used for the dropped part of the curb. I have the exact same set up as from the toturial. Is there a fix for this jet? Or another toturial? I am looking to achieve something like the image below.

Hi,

Did you try taking a look at the file attached to this post: https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/drop-curb-problem-on-curved-line/msg12020/#msg12020 (https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/drop-curb-problem-on-curved-line/msg12020/#msg12020)

It should be what you are after.

All the best,

Hi, the drop curb problem on a curved line is driving me nuts, so it's great to see you have a workaround (in the post below), but unfortunately there doesn't appear to be an attachment on the post so that I can see what you've actually done.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Is there a way to add variation in height, padding, etc.? When I use a transform node, it transforms each segment individually, and I would like the sequence to be considered as a same piece.
