hi,
Very useful tutorial, thnx a lot... I can understand alot of properties of railclone finally. Except one thing... I can't find any UV default material in tutorial files...How can you make this material? Sorry about that but I'm newbie in railclone forestpack and max, too.

Hi,

Are you referring to a material like this to help see the effects of the box mapping?

If so I've attached the map I use most often for this purpose. To use simply add it to the diffuse input of any material (depending on the renderer you are using) and apply to the RailClone object.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have further questions.

Many thanks,

Paul

Hi,

I've sent you by email a modified version of your scene with the spline "Line03" used as the Y Spline realigned - this way it can be used in the Y/Z mode and you can "disable" the Geometry - X Rotation feature.

Best regards,

Hi, I have the same corner problem. Maybe You could explain how to fix it so everyone visiting here could do it independently :)

Hi,

Rotating the spline used as a Y Spline around the X-axis by 90º, using the Reset XForm > Reset Selected, choosing the Geometry > Y Spline Y / Z mode and adjusting the X Rotation to 0 should do the trick.

Unfortunately it doesn't work the way it should. Look at attachments

I see. My apologies - before using the Reset XForm utility, it should be rotated by 90º in the X & Y axes. That should help.

Still wrong values but I get the idea ;)
Proper values are:
X: -90
Y: 90
Z: -90
