Post here your questions and comments about the Autumn Park (http://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials/tutorial_forestcolor.php) tutorial.
-
At the beginning of the tutorial you mention two ways to add variation. Manually using the mat editor and letting forest pack do it automatically using Optimize Materials, you mentioned you would talk about this later, yet there was no mention of it in the rest of the video

Hi,
Thanks for contacting us. This comment refers to the Optimise Materials (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/FORESTPACK/Material#Material-OptimizeMaterials) tool found in the Materials Rollout. It is used to automatically add Forest Colour maps to materials (and a few other optimisations) that can be controlled from the settings found in the materials tab or by opening the material editor and changing them manually. You can see this being used to apply Forest Colour materials to the trees at about the 17.5 minutes mark in the video.
Many thanks!

Hi, we could isolate the problem in the RC_tiles002 object.
It seems caused by a bug in the Max boolean process, when processing this specific geometry.
Unfortunately this is not something we can fix it, but there is a simple workaround modifying slightly the object:
- Open Style Editor for RC_tiles002.
- Select A2S Generator and modify General->Clipping Area->Expand from 10% to 11%.
We are preparing a modified scene, with this fix applied.
