Title: 50% row like a regular parquet
Post by: djibvongenf on November 20, 2025, 07:19:24 am
Hi All,

Im trying to achieve a simple 50% offset on each second row. Like floor generator would do the trick but it seems over complicated. Any idea how to do it without adding a 50% smaller mesh and a bench of extra nodes?

thank you

the main remaining questions would be "why not adding a custom select mesh option" ?... and "to whom box 004 and box 003 are referring to" ?

lucky im not in charge of licencing where i work.. this plugin is total time waister.

Hi,

You can place a ‘half-sized’ Segment (adjust its size using the exported value from the main Segment via an Arithmetic Operator (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/style-editor/operators/arithmetic)), then alternate the rows using a Sequence Operator (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/style-editor/operators/sequence). If you’d like, feel free to upload or send us (https://forum.itoosoft.com/faq/how-to-send-a-file-to-itoo-software/) your scene and we’ll be happy to take a look.

Let me mention that we acknowledge that RailClone has a steeper learning curve compared to Forest Pack. In order to help users become familiar with RailClone, we have an ongoing series of tutorials (https://www.itoosoft.com/tutorials?tag=rc&page=1) that you may find helpful, as well as detailed documentation (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone). I would recommend checking our RailClone "Getting Started with RailClone (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/getting-started-with-railclone)" guide followed by our "Next Steps with RailClone (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/next-steps-with-railclone)" guide as well.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
