Making Stairs

Hello guys, I am trying to make all types of stairs with railclone, starting with a spiral stair.  This has always been a very time consuming experience for me on any project, making stairs is always a pain in the butt when clients ask to modify...  So anyway, here is my progress so far, I am still not able to make a perfect curve.  For some reason, no matter how small I make the handrail segment, it doesn't want to curve!
