Railcone Graduated Floor Tiles Problem
« on: February 03, 2025, 01:54:00 AM »
Hello All

I am trying to create a graduated shopping mall floor tile 1200 x 600 that has a random pattern graduating from dark stone to light stone (see image from designer)

I've found the RC Graduated Floor Probabilities Tutorial but am now not sure if this is the right method ? . . .  I am stuck as i've now been able to add the setting as per the tutorial but its not graduating out to a single tile (just random tiles everywhere) . . . . any help would be appreciated !

I'm also using Vray multisub material with 10 tile slots but am happy to change to any method to get a result like the designers request graduating to just one tile material.

Cheers

Hi Scott,

You can achieve this effect by linking multiple Gradient Probability macros, as demonstrated in the sample file attached to this related forum thread. I've attached a revised version of your scene that demonstrates a possible style setup - feel free to tweak it as needed to get the desired result. I hope you find it helpful!

Best regards,
