Railcone Graduated Floor Tiles Using Railclone Color

Hi All and Michal

Following on from my previous post - https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro/railcone-graduated-floor-probabilities/msg40333/#msg40333 which Michal resolved - thanks Michal ! . . . the client is now wanting to arrange floor tiles to set patterns across the whole shopping centre.

I've spent 2 hours trying to replicate the Itoofast RC Quick Tutorial for Railcolone Color . . . https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/railclone-color . . . but my scene is just not matching the video.

To keep it simple I need 10 grey tiles from white to dark grey (will be adjusted to suit real materials later) to be be placed according to a supplied image (see attachments and yes i will clean it up later on). Ive attached a max 2025 scene and the maps - hopefully someone can help as i will use your fix across the whole of the shopping centre which has a lot of different tile pattern layouts.

Hi Scott,

In this case, it's best to use the Get Color From Map > As Texture On Surface feature. I've attached a revised version of your scene. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick reply again . . . and the solution works really well !

Next question is how do i add individual tile materials to get stone variation (as we did in the last fix you did for me weeks ago - see attached early test) ?

In such a case, as these pieces remain undeformed, the ForestPack plug-in could be useful in this scenario. It includes the Diversity > Match Color ID on Map feature, which allows you to select the corresponding item with ease.
