Title: Rotating Probability Gradient
Post by: cj123 on August 21, 2025, 07:46:42 pm
Hi everyone, new to the forums here. You all have been a big help in the past and I thought I'd come in with a question of my own. I'm currently using the running bond brick macro with the probability gradient macro nested within it to create the attached exihibts (see vertical/horizontal jpgs). I'm wondering if there's a way to create an expression or something to rotate the orientation of the gradient to any angle of my choosing (not just 0 or 90)? In order to rotate the existing pattern I've been checking the "operate on x/y" box which has worked for the time being, but I suspect what I'm asking for is going to be a little more complicated than that. ;) Thanks for your help in advance!

Hi,

Please find attached a sample scene (250822_RotatedGradientProbability_ITOOSOFT.max) in which I modified the Gradient Probability macro to incorporate the Angle parameter and simulate rotation. I hope this helps.

Best regards,
