Shower generator
« on: December 03, 2024, 05:47:28 PM »
good morning,
I'm Raph, a 3D artist, and this is my first topic, so I'd like to apologize if I missed a previous topic on a similar subject.

I learn railclone during my free time and I gave myself as an exercise to make a shower generator.

I'm very pleased with myself because I've managed to create the tiled walls and glass shower enclosures.
I can choose the height of my walls and the glass panels.
I can even choose the position of my water system.
i'm just stuck because i'd like to have bars at the top to hold my glass shower enclosures. unfortunately, i can't get the smaller bar to stop at the intersection of the larger one.
unfortunately, i have bars along the walls, but that's not what i'm looking for either.

i've been stuck on them for 3 days now. that's why i've broken down and come to ask you for help or even advice. learning by yourself is good, but i think it's sometimes necessary to ask for help or outside advice.

i'm sharing a little demo gif and an image with my bar problem and the desired result.

Thank you for your time.

Hi,

There are a couple of possible ways to achieve this. In the attached sample scene (241204_XSectionLength_ITOOSOFT.max), I've used markers to define the positions of these bars, where the X Size of the shorter one is controlled by the XSectionLength attribute and it uses a Null Segment in the Sequence Operator to stop once it's placed. I hope this helps.

Best regards,

hi Michal,
I'm sorry to reply so late. i had to put my railclone training on hold to get back to work this month.
I'll look into it when i get back from vacation.
Thanks for your help and i wish you happy holidays!
