XFrog is a collection of standard meshes, you can copy them in any folder of your election. Next, please see the following link to integrate it with Forest.

Also in the current version of XFrogCatalog there is a missing file related with Europe 3. You can find the fix here.

Hi Carlos

I have now installed xfrog and it seems to work - I have also purchased the hqplants 1 and also installed them.

HQplants seems to work well when materials are converted, but xfrog plants seems to have some very vague leaves when converted.

Please see the attached image.

Is this a known problem?

We have not tested all XFrog models, but it seems a problem with the opacity map. What model is that exactly ? Wel'll check it.

hi

it's Cappadocian Maple, Oriental Planetree, European Smoketree and it seems to be all other plants I have tried.

It seems correct here.
You are using Mental Ray, isn't ? Please, check the cutout map. Perhaps Max is taking the map from a wrong location.

Hi Carlos

Sorry I did't tell - I use Octane Render.

Ok, this seems a limitation of the Octane Material Converter:

XFrog uses the same map both for diffuse and opacity, using the RGB and Alpha channels respectively (according the behaviour of Bitmap Parameters->Mono Channel Output). But Octane ignores this property, and use the RGB channels directly as mask texture.

XFrog includes separate b/w TIFs for opacity maps, that can be used for the opacity slot. Unfortunately, replacing them is a manual process.
