Distribution Question

I have two type of custom grass objects in my geometry list. When I change the distribution setting for 1 object it changes them for both. How can I set them to be independent, do I i need to set up 2 forest objects.

Most of the distributtion settions are common for all geometry elements. To change the distribution settings by type of elements, you should use different areas for them ("Select models") and use the "Override distribution map", both settings in the Areas panel:
