Dropped Presets from older versions?

So I am very newb at this.  But from what I gather from the iToo website their new Presets are missing things they had before.  Specifically it looks like the Leaves are totally different. The Stone fields are all gone except for one the rest have grass in them. What did they do with the old stuff, is it still available if you purchase now?  Why would they delete them, I am sure some people still want to use them.

They were replaced with better model and better texture assets.
Anyway old presets can be restored by installing FP v5.4.1 and copying library folder. Then adding this folder to Your FP6 library browser.

So what happens if you created a 3D scene with the old presets, then you get a new PC with all new software?  Will that old file still open up or will all the textures and models that got removed be missing?

What would happen if you made a copy of the presets to your own library?  Would it still work on a clean PC just set up with the latest Forest Pack?

It depends how You have used the assets. Most likely- Yes they would be missing.

2nd question- it would work, yes. Feel free to do that.
