Mental Ray fatal error when rendering image sequence.
« on: May 28, 2015, 09:59:38 PM »
When I attempt to render a sequence using Mental Ray, it always gives me an MR fatal error unless it is a very very simple scene. I'm using Max 2014 64 bit with SP 5. I have an i5, 3.2Ghz with 16GB ram. I'm rendering will all best practices in place.

EDIT: I can render a sequence without this fatal error if only one Forest object is rendered. And that forest object cannot have more than one geometry object.

This happens in any scene including the tutorial scenes such as the modern barn and always on the second frame. Any ideas where to start?

We have fixed several Mental Ray issues in the latest beta. Probably this problem is caused by one of them.

Beta versions are available only for Pro customers, but we'll release soon the final version, both for Lite and Pro.
