About fake shadow and V-Ray 6
« on: February 15, 2023, 06:31:24 AM »
The red circled area is depicted in the rendering.
It is not a problem if I use the scanline renderer.
Please let me know if there is something wrong with the settings. Or is it a bug?

Hi,

With your help, we've been able to reproduce this unwanted behavior here too and we'll check what can be done. Honestly, this feature is barely used these days - it’s still present mainly just for compatibility reasons and it hasn’t been tested for a while. Thanks for your comprehension.

Best regards,

Thanks for checking.
Do the fixes take a long time?
Will they be improved in the next Update?

I just logged the problem in our to-do list, to be checked for next updates.
But i cannot give you an estimation when it will be done.

I don't know if problem will be fixable, because V-Ray changed a lot since this feature was implemented. But we'll try it.
