UV Distrubution help
« on: October 11, 2024, 03:29:55 PM »
Hi, I'm trying to create a grass paving. For some reason, however, the distribution of FP over UV only works on certain areas. I'm attaching an archive (max 2024) with a simplified scene with almost no textures etc.
tyFlow nedded -> tySelect mod.

Thanks

Hi,

This issue is caused by negative values in one of the UVW Xform modifiers. Using a rotation of 357° instead of -3° appears to resolve the problem. Please find the revised scene (241014_FP_UV_distribution_ITOOSOFT.max) attached. I hope this helps!

Thanks, it's weird anyway. The texture + displace works quite correctly. I guess I'll have to remember that it's causing problems with FP.

The problem seems to be bigger than that. On another project, a similar bug appeared and this time without a single UVW-Xform.

Thank you, I'm also trying different variations. It's weird. In most cases, when I have for example a mask for forests on a large area, everything works as it should. If I figure something out, I'll post an observation.
