Adding new proxies to a Custom Edit FP object
« on: May 12, 2011, 07:25:12 PM »
I have created a custom edited FP object consisting of a number of vrayproxy bushes. I have placed them manually and have them set to random rotation around z-axis.

I want to add further geomotry proxy types to this FP object. I have added them to the list, and I expected the FP object to randomly select from all of these objects in the geometry list. However, it only seems to be using the original set of geometry objects - not the new ones I have just added. Is this normal? How do I get the custom edit FP object to update itself to show a random selection from this expanded list?
Kind Regards,
Rich

Yes, it's normal. By default Forest doesn't modify any parameter of the existing items (including ID), because is possible that the user would like to preserve the current distribution. To randomize the items, select them and click "Random ID" followed by "Reset Size".

Instead, if you add new items, they will be randomly selected from the geometry list.
