Hi,
Upon our tests with latest 3ds Max (2016) & V-Ray (3.20.03) the Camera - Auto assign to active view feature / Apply to Look At (I suppose you are referring to those) works fine while using the Batch Render. We've tested it successfully with 3ds Max's Free camera, VRayPhysicalCamera and latest Physical camera.
