I created a customized layered meadow in a project. Now I want to save it as a preset to my forest library. I understand how to create, manage and work with the libraries. So my question is not about the file/folder/library management aspect.
I'm having difficulty understanding how to correctly set up the preset itself so that I can save it to my custom library. I have 4 separate FP objects (grass01, grass02, grass03 and grass04) all using and layered onto the same Surface (ground01) which is a mesh object (not spline area).
I've watched the tutorials about creating and saving presets but it they don't seem to address the situation I have. I would ideally like to create detail and large presets. Maybe what i I already have created is the Detail? Would I need to turn the detail into a 30cm circular patch and then scatter that patch across a larger area to make the Large preset?
Can anyone explain the process I would use for doing this or point me to an explanation? I'm spinning my wheels on this. I can send a small .max file if that helps.
