Display full mesh if selected

Hi, I may have posted this here before (but I can't find it). Would it be possible to change the view from pointcloud/proxy etc. to Mesh for a selected object in custom edit mode? Suitable e.g. for people, furniture etc.

Hi,

We tried this some time ago, but it was problematic to use two different display modes at same time.
We'll take a look to it again.
