Draw gizmo corners
« on: January 24, 2024, 12:22:24 PM »
Hi, the Draw Gizmo Corners feature is useful. However, wouldn't it be better to have it enabled only when selecting a specific FP? It puts unnecessary strain on the Viewport or the clarity of the scene. Especially for larger projects. Attached is the scene with and without Draw Gizmo Corners. Or maybe it would be a good idea to have the feature disabled by default. Just an idea to consider.
Thx

Hi,

Thank you for your suggestion. Any feedback is very important to us. We will consider what can be done in future versions. If you prefer to have it disabled, please feel free to modify your default values using the Preset feature found in the General rollout. There is a 10-second tip tutorial that illustrates how to do it: https://www.itoosoft.com/tensecondstips/saving-default-settings.

Let me mention that it's also possible to easily activate/deactivate it by using Maxscript:

$.sdgizmo = on;
$.sdgizmo = off;

I hope that helps.

Best regards,

Yes, I know about the Default preset modification. Basically it was mainly that it can be a bit confusing for new users. Of course I leave it up to you how you see it. Maybe I've been looking at FP differently than a new user over the years. Thx
