forest color manual id settings

Hi,
I'm scattering cars using forest and using forest color map to have random colors
but...
is it possible to manually adjust IDs so I can control color of each particular car

Not using Forest Color, because colors are always random, but you would use different cars:

1) Create several items in the geometry list, all of them may use the same Custom Object.
2) Add different materials to Geometry->Material, changing the color in each one.
3) Change the model assigned to each item, using Tree Editor->Properties.

Obviously, this procedure works only in Custom Edit mode.

that was the thing I was trying to avoid - creating more materials and more geometry instances
hope its possible to implement in the future to have control over IDs

my walkaround - create a raw of cars and select the colors I need, then copy those cars if needed
