Hi,
You're not doing anything wrong, it would appear that this feature was broken in Forest Pack 7.3 and later. The development team has been informed and are looking into it. Thanks for letting us know.

Hi,

As far as I know Forest Color works fine as long as it is used on objects that are scattered with Forest Pack. Only non-FP items are affected by this bug. Please let me know if that's not the case.

indeed, its not a forest object but about 30 cars manually distributed on a parking lot. each with forest color map for randomizing the car color.

I'm afraid I don't have an ETA at this point. If it's urgent you could roll back to a version prior to 7.3 which is the version when the bug appears to have been introduced. Alternatively, you could add the cars to an FP object and then position them manually using Items Editor mode. I like to work with cars that way in any case, but I appreciate that if you've already positioned them that would be extra work.

Best,
Paul

Paul, any news on Forest color? It´s quite some time now the feature ist not working on Non-Forest-Objects. We excessively used randomizing colors in our Libraries and now it´s still not working. Don´t want to create forests on every Object. Quite a problem!

Hello Mattias,

I'm afraid I don't have a date at this point, there are a few other changes we'd like to make before the next update to avoid too many small releases. We apologise for the inconvenience, hopefully it won't be long now.

Thanks,

Paul
