merging forest objects from another scene
« on: February 12, 2020, 09:51:50 PM »
is it possible to merge via File > Import > Merge in 3ds max 2020?  forest objects.

i have merged all the scatter items, merged the surfaces, merged the splines.  but when i tried to merge 1 of the forest objects, max crashed immediately.

thanks.

hello, i've just emailed the archive file where i'm tring to merge from.

EDIT: it didn't seem clear in terms of creating my own library item whether or not i could create a library file that contained the things in the file i sent.

1. forest object: small 6" radius circle with 6 individual grass blades (each with different colors, no bitmaps)
2. forest object: larger 1ft radius circle with 6 other individual grass blades (each with different colors, no bitmaps)
3. one large forest object with the two smaller forest objects as items

that way i could not only adjust the one large object, but i could adjust the radius of the smaller circles or adjust their scales etc... so i'm using 2 small forest objects to create one big one.

thanks
