Non-circular collisions

Hi,

Is there any way or work around to evaluate collisions for elongated objects? Or to have different values on different axis, like the padding in RailClone? I'm trying to scatter objects who are close side to side, but with more space in front and back...

Hi,

I‘m afraid, that there isn’t such a setting - the Collision checking is based on exploring possible intersections between virtual bounding spheres that surround each object.

In some situations, it might help to “adjust” the Distribution Map by deselecting the Lock aspect ratio option and setting the different Distribution Map Density values for the X & Y axis.
