Object Visibility
« on: July 29, 2023, 11:02:16 AM »
Hi Guys,
I have prepared a scene where i have FPP objects in it.
I wanted to keep the objects in viewport but dont want them to render in the image. By not rendering them in the scene i will atleast get the shadows casted by the object but the actual object will not get rendered.
Any possibility for this situation as to how can i achieve it.
I right clicked the object properties of the FPP object and clicked off "visible to camera" but still they render in the scene.
Any help would be useful.
Attaching the file with marked section which i don't want in the image.
Thanks

Hi,

Which renderer are you using? In some renderers (like for example the Corona Renderer) you should unmark the mentioned visibility option (Visible to Camera) directly for used Custom Objects. That should do the trick.

I hope that helps.

Hi Michal,
Sorry I didnt mention the software, its 3dsmax 2023, Corona HF1, FP 8.2.2.
The steps that you mentioned did the trick. It was so simple. Thanks for your solution.
