Problem with edge setup
« on: March 08, 2025, 12:52:35 PM »
hello everyone and sorry for my English..I use translator....
I can't understand why with forest the grass doesn't cut correctly on the edges..I tried first one way (image_01), then adding a spline and selecting it with exclude enabled (image_02), it improves a little bit but there are always little clumps of grass that I don't want to have. Can someone maybe tell me where I'm going wrong?
thanks

Hi,

If possible, send us a simplified version of your scene, and we’ll check it here.

Best regards,

thanks to the forest team who solved my problem. I am pasting below the message I received in case it might be helpful to others as well.

" In your setup, you're using a large Spline Area in the Include mode with the surface as a base to 'cut' it - this combination might not be ideal. In the revised version of your scene, I've adjusted the Spline Area to cover just the desired area, which seems to resolve the issue. Also, I've lowered the Transform > Translation values a bit."
