Forest Ivy - Not working below 3ds max ground or 0
« on: October 03, 2024, 01:35:25 PM »
Hi,
I´m having problems creating an Ivy below the 0 inside 3ds max.
As soon as I start drawing it creates some crazy shapes and vertex start floating around.
It's there a way to solve this issue without moving the whole scene above the 0? not the best option since I got other forest objects below the 0.

Thanks a lot,

I understand that the Ivy it's attracted to the level 0 and trying to grow around the floor.
But it would be great to have an option to avoid this or disable the ground floor.

Looking forward to your reply,

Thanks a lot,

Hi,

This issue occurs when ForestIvy grows below its local XY plane (relative to the pivot position). We've already fixed this for the next Forest update. In the meantime, the workaround is to create the ForestIvy object beneath the surface.

Thanks a lot for your reply!
I tried creating an Ivy with the autogrid to create it below the surface, but the results for me are the same.
Meanwhile changing the adhesion values and the Death on ground hit at 100% it's kind of working for now.

I'm looking forward to the updated version.
