Hi,

I would suggest resetting 3ds Max by deleting your user files. To temporarily remove the user profile:
  • Make sure that 3ds Max is not running.
  • Go to the following path: C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\your3dsMaxversion - 64bit\ENU
  • Rename the ENU folder to ENU_Old.
When 3ds Max is launched, a new ENU folder will be created. If the issue persists, you can restore the previous settings by deleting the new ENU folder and renaming the old one back to its original name.

I hope this helps.

Is there any other possibility? This method will reset my set ups for viewports plugins etc.

You can try closing 3ds max and deleting all related 'iToo' & 'RailClone' .mcr files from this folder:
C:\Users<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2024 - 64bit\ENU\usermacros.

In this case, please try temporarily removing the user profile. As mentioned earlier, you can restore the previous settings by deleting the new ENU folder and renaming the old one back to its original name.

I'm sorry to hear that the issue has reappeared. Have there been any recent changes to your 3ds Max configuration? Have you tried temporarily removing the user profile to see if that resolves the problem? Thanks in advance for any further feedback.

I'm sorry to hear you're still having trouble with this. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to reproduce the issue on our end. If the problem persists, it may be best to remove the contextual menus to avoid further complications. To do that, you can delete the last few lines of the railclone_utils.ms file, which is located by default in the following folder:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\RailCloneLite202x\Contents\scripts\startup

if(maxVersion())[1] < 27000 do
RC_registerMenuItems()
end

Just to note: you should also remove the user profile afterwards. Deleting those lines won’t automatically remove the existing contextual menus - it only prevents them from being created again.

I hope that helps.

Best regards,
