Understanding the material ID selector

Hi, first post here!

I'm trying to get my head around the material ID selector which confuses me a lot.

I have 2 IDs in this spline with unique piece of geo attached

This makes sense, works as espected

But when I have an angle this happens

The ID is not catching the other geometry with more edges like in the straight line. My workaround to this is to detatch that edge and atach again.

This works but creates other problems like those gaps, what could be an ultimate solution to this?

Hi Dani,

Upon my quick test, in the latest RC version it should work just fine without the need of breaking any vertices - please see the attached screen-shot. Might be, you're using a previous version?

I'm using 3.3 at the moment, I think I got the latest version.

My RC graph is pretty much as yours, nothing fancy going on (see the atachment). I also made a little video, please, check it out when you get a chance.
