BUG - Bottom Padding error - display limit exceeded

Hi,

In a very simple 2s1 railclone i cant set top or bottom padding higher than 19.
If you set it to 20 i get "display -limit exceeded".
Max 2021, rc 5.1.2.

I can`t open the file due to the MAX version, but you can increase limits in the Display rollout.
If you still have issues try to turn off Slicing.

Display limit is 5000 segments and 10 mil poly. This generator stops building at like belowe 1k segments and 10k polys . It's a bug.
i have attached max 2018 version.

Switch your Spline from Curve to Line. That should do the trick.

It does not work.
I  also tried to change adaptivness in spline and interpolation od that spline i RC.

Also point clous display displays the whole mesh, but it does not render.

Your file from max 2018 works.
Mine made in 2021 does not. If i uncheck "slice" in the segment options it works.
But still if i make a 2s1 RC object in max 2021 it does not work with very little polygons to chop up.

I still think that this is a bug, because it makes 2s1 unusable for me

Thanks for the scene File. There is something amiss here that appears to be related to the combination of fixed size and padding used. I'm passing it to our development team for further investigation
