curved paths merging
« on: August 01, 2023, 10:28:39 AM »
Can anyone help explain how I might take the direction of a path and sort of split it into a Y shape so that the branch curves off in two directions but still meets together in the middle.

attaching an image to show example of what i mean.

Hi,

I’m afraid, that at present RailClone doesn't allow automatically combining the geometry on multiple splines to create intersections, crossroads, t-junctions, on-ramps, off-ramps, etc. This is something that has been requested often, and it's on our wish list, but because RailClone is not a specialized road-making tool it must be compatible with any generic mesh using multiple rules so implementing this feature would be very complex. We´ll see what can be done in future releases.

Let me mention, that for some of these scenarios, you might find the way described in this post helpful.

Best regards,

Theo

I have tried something like this. it will probably require drawing a lot of splines.
