Diamond shape acoustic panel

I'm struggling with a diamond shaped pattern and I am really pinched for time
I need the hole filled with another square diamond basically.

I probably need some sequence operator, but I have so much else still to do.

any help would be really appreciated.

Hi,

Please see the attached file for a couple of solutions. The first one simply duplicates the generator to fill in the holes, deleting all connections except the Default input.



The only issue with this is that adaptive mode scales the default segments, but not the sides or corners so the angles of the diamond's sides change for some but not all the segments making the fit a little sloppy.



If this isn't an issue this is the easiest solution and is easier to reuse of different sized clipping splines.

To get around this, another solution is to manually scale all the segments so that they fit into the array perfectly. This creates a better fit but requires some for for the user.

I eventualy figured that out myself.
the issue about not scaling isn't that big of a problem ...

I could totally build this differently with using only half a diamond, but RailClone is missing an autoWeld option
which would be great to have ....
then I could just rebuild the diamonds with quartered segments ...

You might be interested to know that RailClone does have an AutoWeld feature. You can find it in the Style rollout.



To use it you will need to disable the instancing engine from the Display rollout.
