Forrest Color / Railclone Color
« on: December 30, 2021, 10:57:25 AM »
I'm using some simple geometry for Light distribution ... sometimes it is comfortable to distribute them by Railclone Object defined by spline-mat-ID ... but sometimes i prefer distributing them via Forrestpack ...
Is it possible to use Railclone Color varying color maps in Forrestpack or vice-versa?

Latest info i found was regarding Railclone 3 beta. where the forrest-color was introduced as railclone color - but i'm not sure if those are compatible now, or if i need to create a second shader with corresponding "multimap" for each Tool I use.

I'm afraid at present it isn't recommended to use Forest Colour and RailClone colour interchangeably. This is due to the need to support engines like V-Ray GPU who have to implement their own support for these maps.

Many thanks,
Paul

We worked on this for some time. But unfortunately we found several problems, and had to discard the idea.

ok... well i tried... the multimaps are not working in corona-render, but at least the light material with standard color set is working. It might be ok for now. Maybe i try corona multimap to work with forrestpack and railclone ... so for with railclone it works mostly (sometimes it requires an edit-mesh operator on top)
