Gradient Probability Colour Issue
« on: July 05, 2024, 02:23:09 pm »
Hi Everyone,

Just submitting a little issue that i am struggling with:

I need to get this Railclone shaded with 6 different tones from left to right (only on the long parts).
I thought the Gradient Probability Macro plugged in the Material should do the trick but it goes straight from Value 1 (blue) to 6 (orange) with no iteration of the other material IDs.

I attach screenshots of both the Raiclone Style and the Shader in case i am doing something wrong (wich is highly possible  ;D).

Thanks for your advice,

Paul Roberts

Hi,

You can achieve that effect by connecting together multiple Gradient Probability macros. Please see the attached exercise file for an example and let me know if you have any further questions.

Best regards,

Paul

Hi there Paul,

This is very clear and perfectly illustrated with the attached file.
I wouldn't have think of doing that thing but know it makes sense when i play with the transition range and position of each gradient macro.

Thank you very much for your assistance,
Best regards
