How can I keep the real world maping on segments, even if they get stretched/squashed by the generator?

Only way I can get it to work, is to stick a UVWMap modifier on the entire RC object...

Hi Morne,

For this kind of purpose, using the Apply Box Mapping feature should help.

Actually, I want to use a vrayedgestext to make a border around a rectangle object

however, if the generator is set to anything other than scsale, the edgestext doesnt work as expected. I want it over entire RC object, however, its doing it over each segment which for example on adaptive, results in hundreds of segements making up my rectangle, instead of a single object like in the case of scale....

Thanks for your swift reply. Well, as far as I know, that’s the correct behavior of the VRayEdgesTex map – it renders all edges of the geometry.
