Limit Array2S Clipping Area to MatID
« on: November 29, 2016, 04:13:30 PM »
I guess limiting the Array2S to a materialID is not possible ?

I tried to build a window in a different way from Parametric Window Thread
So I thought I would be clever to devide my window in 9 sections (3 rows of 3 columns each).
See attachement (less rows/columns, but the example stands)
Each numbered Purple square would be a closed spline within a single splineObject with the number in it as MaterialID
Problem is that Array2S doesn't respect MaterialID limit when it's only using a clipping area :(

any chance to get that for RC3 ?

Hi,

Well, it's not possible to limit Generators to Material IDs used in Clipping area (where such spline is not used to generate the array, but only for clipping purposes). Instead, you can use Material IDs on the Spline used for generating the array (X Spline) and another spline for Clipping area.

Attaching a sample scene showing this work flow. Hope you'll find useful.

Best regards,
