Random Material

I have been converting my RC to a poly, but it is a real destructive way to do it. How should I be doing it? Now, I am working on roofs. I have a dozen maps that I need to randomize across the roof.

Are you working with V-Ray? If so I would look into using the Material node to randomise Materials IDs and/or the UVW Xform node to randomise the offset of maps.
