We're having trouble getting the Random Seed (in the General rollout) to vary a RailClone object when animated using Auto Key. If you manually click the spinner to change the seed the RailClone updates as you would expect, however once you try to key this using Auto Key it stops working - you can see the values changing for the seed, but the RailClone itself no longer updates. All the documentation implies that this should work fine, so we're a bit stumped.
I've attached a simple scene illustrating this. The Random Seed is animated from frame 0-25 but as you can see the RailClone doesn't change. If however you manually change the random seed it does change.
