RC started to crash my max during load
« on: November 19, 2025, 11:58:49 am »
Hello,
This happened seemingly without reason. On Monday, everything worked normally, I then went away with work for Tuesday, and this morning on Wednesday, all my max files containing RailClone objects crash during loading them. (During 42% Finalizing Load stage) I now spent about 4 hours of investigating to finally arrive to a conclusion that its RC that's causing it. I tried 3 different update versions of Max with no difference.
The only thing that changed on this PC is a VPN install.
Loading max files with no RC objects works fine, any max file with RC object in it crashes. I tried changing licence type, reinstalling my RC version, updating the RC to the newest version and also uninstalling RC and installing it again. I would normally run 6.4.2 (as currently not on maintenance), but installing the latest still causes the max files to crash too.

Absolutely no idea how could be this happening, but it is.

Can you please assist?

Thank you

Michal Karmazín

Hi Mike,

I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing these troubles. Could you please save and send us the minidump file of the crash? Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Please, check this forum post as well. Although it's about Forest Pack, same problem may happen with RailClone.
