scaling instead of cutting elements at the edges of the area?
« on: October 25, 2023, 01:08:47 PM »
Hey!

I d like to simply make an array of floor tiles, the elements are chamferred and when they get cut at the end the chamfer is missing.

How can I get RC to scale the last elements instead of cutting them?

Thanks!

Hi,

You should find that there is a Macro called Scale Final Segment installed with RailClone. Just wire this between your segment and the generator and set a minimum size. Be aware that your chamfers will also be scaled though. If the geometry is low poly, it might make more sense to use simple boxes, disable the instancing engine, and add a Chamfer modifier to RailClone instead.

Best,
Paul

You can indeed! Just be sure that you turn off the Instancing Engine from the Display menu if you add modifiers, and don't use Quick Mesh display more

Cheers,
